The methodology in use is called auditing. An auditor is “one who listens”. The major difference between auditing and traditional psychology is that with auditing there is absolutely no evaluation, invalidation, diagnosis or opinions given by the practitioner. It’s strictly forbidden. With auditing you are encouraged to take a look at your own emotions and reactions as you are guided by specifically worded questions. Auditing is based on the popular book “Dianetics The Modern Science of Mental Health” by L. Ron Hubbard.

In Dianetics®, an engram is a moment of “unconsciousness” containing physical pain or painful emotion and all perceptions and is not available to the analytical mind as experience. Aberrations, under which include all deranged or irrational behavior, are caused by engrams.
No. We’re only interested in you becoming more aware and in control of yourself. With hypnosis you are required to relinquish control to the hypnotist. Therefore, we don’t use or recommend hypnosis. The method we use might appear to be similar in that it accesses your subconscious mind- but the major difference is that you remain fully aware and in communication with your counselor throughout the process. The goal is to clear your mind of unwanted thoughts / emotions.
